Local Area

The flat is a new conversion of an imposing, Grade II Listed, Victorian town house in middle of Clifton Crescent.  The beach is a 5 minutes walk from the flat and the main shopping district is less than a 10 minutes walk away.

Clifton Crescent is the only crescent on top of the elegant Leas area of Folkestone and is adjacent to the famous Grand and Metropole buildings including a restaurant and fitness centre.  Guests have direct access, via the side of the house, to private gardens.  The bandstand, amphitheatre and the new adventure playground and beach are within five minutes walk.  The Leas promenade is a delightful area to walk day or night and leads to the Leas Cliff Hall (5 minutes) concert and exhibition venue and on to Folkestone town centre (10 minutes)

The flat may be approached by train (10 – 15 minute walk) or motorway (M20), being a short car journey from the Ferry terminal in Dover, The Shuttle or Eurostar at Ashford.

About Folkestone?

Folkestone is enjoying a renaissance with new restaurants open and the development of the Radnor Cliff complete, providing an amphitheatre with a varied summer programme and the excellent adventure playground.  The Leas Cliff Hall has been completely refurbished and offers concerts and exhibitions throughout the year.  Both these venues are less than 5 minutes walk from Clifton Crescent.

The town makes an ideal base for exploring the region with its proximity to transport links and its position in the middle of this stretch of coast.  Click on our website for a suggested itinerary with details of the quaint towns of the Cinque Ports, stunning vast beaches such as Camber sands, historic Canterbury and options to visit France for a day trip.  Or just sit by the windows and be mesmerised by the ever-changing view.
